  • Best No Roll Sugar Cookies

    Perfect for decorating without all the mess of rolling and cutting!

    Ingredients

    • 1 c. butter, softened
    • 1 c. sugar
    • 1 c. sifted powdered sugar
    • 1 c. vegetable oil
    • 2 Large eggs
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon cream of tartar

    Directions

    1. Cream butter, while gradually adding sugar and powdered sugar, beat well with electric mixer on medium speed.
    2. Add in oil, eggs and vanilla.
    3. Combine flour, baking soda, salt and cream of tartar.
    4. Add in to creamed mix and mix well.
    5. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    6. Shape dough into 1 inch balls. Place 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
    7. Dip a flat bottomed glass in sugar. Flatten cookies to 1/4 inch thickness.
    8. Bake at 375 degrees for 5 to 8 min till cookies are set but not too brown.
