  • Beefed - Up Biscuit Casserole

    Ingredients

    • 1 1/2 lbs. grnd beef
    • 1/2 c. minced onion
    • 1 can tomato soup
    • 2 teaspoon chili pwdr
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
    • 1 can Pillsbury refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
    • 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    • 1/2 c. lowfat sour cream
    • 1 egg

    Directions

    1. In large fry pan, brown beef and onion; drain. Stir in tomato soup, chili pwdr, and garlic salt. Simmer while preparing dough. Separate dough into 10 biscuits. Pull each biscuit apart into 2 layers. Press 10 biscuit layers over bottom of ungreased 8 inch baking pan.Put together 1/2 cup cheese, lowfat sour cream, and egg. Mix well. Remove meat mix from heat. Stir in lowfat sour cream mix. Spoon over dough. Arrange remaining 10 biscuits over top. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 min.
