  • Beef With Funghi Sauce For Pasta

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb Beef ( alcatra), into 1/2" dice
    • 4 x Tomatoes,peeled.seeded and minced
    • 1 x Onion, finely minced
    • 1 x Clove garlic, chopped
    • 2 Tbsp. Dry funghi ( porcini) Salt and pepper, to taste
    • 1 c. Heavy cream (optional), or possibly fresh cream
    • 2 Tbsp. Oil

    Directions

    1. 1. Brown meat in oil
    2. 2. Add in minced onions and cook till translucent/soft
    3. 3. Stir in garlic and cook 1 minute.
    4. 4. Add in tomatoes, salt and pepper and cook till it dries out.
    5. 5. Add in 1/2 c. water and simmer covered till almost dry.
    6. 6. Keep adding 1/2 c. water whenever almost dry and cook till meat is tender ( about 2 hrs)
    7. 7. One hour before end of cooking, wash dry mushroom well and soak them in hot water for 1 hour.
    8. 8. Drain mushrooms and save the liquid.
    9. 9. Chop mushrooms and add in it along with liquid to the meat.
    10. 10. Simmer another half hour.
    11. 11. Add in cream and serve with noodles
