Baked Pears With Chocolate
Ingredients
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1 c. Water
- 4 x Ripe pears, peeled, halved and cored
- 1/2 c. Chocolate fudge topping, hot
Directions
- Prep: 10 minutes, Cook: 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine sugar and water in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Simmer 8-10 min till mix begins to thicken slightly.
- Place pears, cut side down, in a buttered shallow baking dish. Pour sugar mix over pears and bake 10 min. Turn pears and bake another 10 min, basting occasionally. Serve pears hot with chocolate topping.
