Baked Onion Slices
A wonderful side dish companion for any main dish entree! Ingredients
- 5 Large Onions, peeled, and sliced into 1/4-inch slices
- 2 Chicken Bouillon cubes, smashed
- 1 1/2 cups hot water
- 2 Tbsps. Butter or Margarine, cut into small pieces
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Directions
- Arrange sliced onions in a lightly greased 2-quart baking dish.
- Dissolve smashed bouillon cubes in the hot water. Pour over onion slices.
- Dot butter pieces over the onion slices.
- Bake, uncovered, at 375* for 45-60 minutes, or until onions are tender.
- (If they become dry while baking, add more hot water).
