Baked Macaroni And Tomatoes
Ingredients
- 4 c. Cooked macaroni
- 4 x Good sized tomatoes
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 tsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Basil
- 1/4 c. Flour
- 2 Tbsp. Heavy cream (or possibly lowfat milk)
- 1/2 c. Soft white bread crumbs
- 1 Tbsp. Butter
Directions
- Grease or possibly oil a 1-1/2 qt casserole. Arrange a layer of cooked macaroni over bottom and add in layer of sliced tomatoes. Combine salt, sugar, basil, and flour and sprinkle half of this mix over tomato layer.
- Add in more macaroni, more tomatoes, and remaining seasoned mix. Pour cream over the top, then add in crumbs and dot with butter.
- Cover casserole and bake in 350F oven for 45 min. Uncover the casserole during the last 15 min to allow the crumbs to brown lightly on top.
