    Bacon Dip = party hit

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb bacon (approximately 900 grams or 2 packages)
    • 3.5 cups sour cream
    • 2.5 cups mayonnaise
    • chopped tomato (1/2 a large can of very well-drained canned diced tomatoes, or 2 large fresh tomatoes)
    • chopped green onion
    • Serve in: a bread bowl with crusty bread pieces, crackers, Ruffles chips, whatever you prefer!

    Directions

    1. Broil bacon at 400 F for approximately 15 minutes on tin-foil lined baking pans until the edges are crispy.
    2. Transfer to a couple of plates with multiple layers of paper towels to absorb fat.
    3. Mix together the sour cream, mayonnaise, tomato and green onion in a large bowl and set aside.
    4. Dice bacon and add to the existing mixture.
    5. Cover and place in the fridge at least 30 minutes before serving.
