Tasty, easy to make and bursting with the mellow flavours of autumn

    Ingredients

    • 2 Granny Smith apples
    • 2 red William pears
    • 3 ripe plums
    • 150g fresh blackberries
    • 150g fresh raspberries
    • 2 tablespoons agave nectar

    Directions

    1. PRE-HEAT THE OVEN TO 190˚C/170˚C FAN/GAS 5
    2. Peel and core the apples and pears and cut into quarters. Wash and halve the plums, remove the stone with the help of a spoon or knife and cut into quarters. Place the berries in a colander and rinse under running water.
    3. Arrange the apples, pears and plums in a shallow ovenproof dish. Drizzle with one tablespoon of agave nectar, cover with kitchen foil and bake for 30 minutes.
    4. Remove the dish from the oven, add the berries and the remaining tablespoon of agave nectar, re-cover with foil and return to the oven for a further 10-15 minutes or until the fruit is soft and juicy but still retains its shape.
    5. Leave to cool completely, then transfer into an airtight container and keep refrigerated. Use within 3 days.
