  • Asian Poultry Burger

    Ingredients

    • 8 ounce Grnd chicken or possibly turkey
    • 1 Tbsp. Soy sauce
    • 1/2 tsp Chopped fresh ginger
    • 1/2 tsp Chopped fresh garlic
    • 1 Tbsp. Oriental sesame oil Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
    • 2 Tbsp. Bread crumbs - (to 4 tbspns)
    • 1 med Carrot peeled
    • 1 x Kirby cucumber peeled Vegetable oil for frying
    • 2 x Sesame seed hamburger buns halved, toasted Asian Mayonnaise see * Note

    Directions

    1. In a mixing bowl combine the grnd chicken, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and sesame oil. Season with salt and pepper.
    2. With a vegetable peeler cut the cucumber vertically into long curly strips, avoiding and discarding the seeds. Cut the carrot, again using the vegetable peeler, into strips. Combine the cucumber and the carrot in a bowl.
    3. Heat the oil in a 9-inch nonstick skillet. Shape chicken mix into 2 patties, each about 3/4-inch thick. Cook for about 5 to 6 min a side or possibly till golden and cooked through. (At this point make the mayonnaise.)
    4. Set each burger on a toasted bun, spread with Asian Mayonnaise and top with the carrot and cucumber.
    5. This recipe yields 2 servings.
