  • Asian Marinated Shrimp And Vegetable Stir Fry

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb peeled deveined shrimp
    • 1 x garlic clove chopped
    • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh ginger
    • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    • 4 tsp mirin
    • 2 tsp chile oil (or possibly 1/4 tspn cayenne)
    • 2 x green onions chopped
    • 2 tsp lemon juice
    • 2 tsp chopped fresh ginger
    • 1 x garlic clove chopped
    • 2 x baby bok choy coarsely minced
    • 3 c. napa cabbage in 1/2" strips
    • 1 c. fresh bean sprouts
    • 1 c. julienne fresh shiitake caps
    • 2 Tbsp. peanut oil
    • 2 tsp sesame oil
    • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    • 2 Tbsp. sake
    • 2 tsp hoisin sauce Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste

    Directions

    1. For Shrimp: Mix all the ingredients together and let marinate in the refrigerator for 4 to 24 hrs. Grill over high heat till cooked through.
    2. For Stir-Fry: In a warm wok or possibly saute/fry pan, saute/fry ginger and garlic in peanut and sesame oils for 1 minute. Add in remaining vegetables. Cook till the cabbage is almost completely cooked (3 to 5 min). Add in soy sauce, sake, and hoisin sauce. Taste for salt and pepper. If more salt is desired, add in additional soy sauce.
    3. This recipe yields 4 servings.
