  • Asian Chicken Wings

    Ingredients

    • 4 c. water
    • 12 ounce soy sauce
    • 1/2 c. vinegar
    • 10 lb chicken wings
    • 42 ounce barbecue sauce
    • 1/3 c. chili paste with garlic
    • 1/2 c. honey
    • 1/4 tsp grnd ginger
    • 1/4 tsp Oriental 5-spice pwdr
    • 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    • 1 Tbsp. water
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1 tsp freshly-grnd black pepper
    • 1 bn green onions minced

    Directions

    1. Combine water, soy sauce and vinegar; stir in chicken wings. Marinate chicken wings at least 1 hour. Combine barbecue sauce, chili paste, honey, ginger and five-spice pwdr; stir to blend.
    2. Brown wings in oil and water; sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place wings in slow cooker. Pour barbecue sauce on top and cook on HIGH for 4 to 6 hrs. Garnish with green onions.
    3. This recipe yields about 50 servings.
