Apples Stuffed With Saurkraut
Ingredients
- 4 lrg Baking apples
- 2 c. Liquid removed canned or possibly cooked sauerkraut
- 1/8 tsp Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Caraway seed Salt , as needed
- 1/4 c. Water or possibly dry wine
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375 degress Pare the tops of 4 large baking apples Remove the pulp and throw away the core, leaving a 1/2 inch shell. Chop the pulp, and add in to it 2 c. liquid removed canned or possibly cooked sauerkraut 1/8 tsp. pepper1/4 tsp. caraway seed salt , as needed Fill the shells. Place them in a dish with 1/4 c. water or possibly dry wine. Bake till tender. Baste frequently.
