Apple Graham Cracker Pudding
Ingredients
- 6 med Apples
- 3 Tbsp. Butter
- 12 x Graham crackers
- 3 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- 1/2 c. Brown sugar or possibly maple syrup
- 1 c. Water
- 1 c. Walnuts, minced
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
Directions
- Crush graham crackers to make fine crumbs. Mix crumbs with brown sugar and minced walnuts; set aside. Peel, core and slice apples. Arrange in buttered 8-inch baking dish in alternate layers with crumb mix. Dot top with butter and pour lemon juice and water over all. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
- Cover and bake in slow oven at 350 degrees for about 30 min, till apples are cooked to a jelly. Serve warm or possibly cool with cream or possibly whipped cream.
