    Ingredients

    • 1 c. All-purpose flour, sifted
    • 1/2 tsp Baking pwdr
    • 1/4 tsp Baking soda
    • 1/4 tsp Salt
    • 1/2 c. Butter or possibly margarine
    • 2 ounce Unsweetened baking chocolate
    • 1 c. Sugar
    • 2/3 c. Applesauce
    • 2 x Large eggs
    • 1 tsp Vanilla
    • 1/2 c. Pecans, minced

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease an 8" square pan on bottom. Sift flour, baking pwdr, soda and salt together; set aside. In double boiler, heat butter and chocolate together over medium heat. Remove from heat and add in sugar and applesauce. Beat in Large eggs one at a time. Blend in vanilla and dry ingredients; stir in pecans.
    2. Pour into prepared pan. Spread proportionately. Bake 35-40 mintues, till done as desired. Let cold. Cut into squares or possibly bars.
