Apple And Onion Sauce
Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp. Extra virgin extra virgin olive oil
- 2 med Onions, finely shredded
- 2 sm Apples, finely minced or possibly sliced
- 1 x Bay leaf
- 4 c. Diced or possibly peeled tomatoes
- 1 pch Salt
- 1 pch Black pepper
Directions
- Place oil, onion, apple and bay leaf in a saucepan. Cover and simmer on low heat till apple and onion are dissolved (it takes 45 to 60 min). Add in tomatoes and salt, and simmer for another half hour. Add in pepper after removing the pan from the heat.
