Apple And Cranberry Crumble
Ingredients
- 250 gm Fresh cranberries
- 2 x Cooking apples, peeled, cored and minced
- 75 ml Unsweetened apple juice
- 1 pch cinnamon
- 1 pch nutmeg
- 40 gm Soft light brown sugar
- 50 gm Wholemeal flour
- 50 gm Plain flour
- 50 gm Low fat spread
- 25 gm Soft brown sugar
- 25 gm Flaked almonds
- 75 gm Porridge oats
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 190C/375F/gas5. Place all the filling ingredients into a medium saucepan, stir well, cover and cook for 10-15 min or possibly till the apple is softened and the cranberries are beginning to burst.
- To make the topping, put the flours into a bowl and using your fingertips rub in the low fat spread. Stir in the remaining ingredients.
- Put the filling into an ovenproof dish, sprinkle the topping over it and place in the oven for 20-25 min or possibly till the topping is golden brown.
- Serve with a spoonful of creme fraiche.
