  • Appetizer Meatballs

    Ingredients

    • MEATBALLS
    • 1 lb grnd beef lean
    • 2/3 c. evaporated lowfat milk
    • 1 env onion soup mix Lipton's
    • 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce SAUCE
    • 1/2 c. onions finely minced
    • 1/4 c. green peppers finely minced
    • 2 Tbsp. butter
    • 1 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
    • 1/2 c. catsup
    • 1/8 tsp Tabasco sauce
    • 1/4 c. sugar
    • 3 Tbsp. brown sugar
    • 2 1/2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
    • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
    • 1/2 tsp chili pwdr

    Directions

    1. Mix together ingredients for the meatballs and make 1-inch balls. Broil 4" from the heat, without turning, for 10-12 min.
    2. Saute/fry the onion and green pepper in the butter. Add in the barbecue sauce, catsup, Tabasco sauce, sugars, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic salt and chili pwdr. Cook for 10-15 min. Add in the meatballs and simmer for 1 hour.
    3. NOTES : Can be transferred to a crockpot to use as a serving dish and to keep hot.
