Almond Vanilla Green Beans
Ingredients
- 2 lb green beans, trimmed
- 1/2 c. almonds, sliced or possibly quartered
- 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract Salt and pepper to taste Fresh lemon or possibly lime juice (optional
Directions
- Steam beans for about 5 min or possibly till crisp-tender. Drain well.
- Saute/fry almonds in butter till well coated and crisp. Pour over beans. Add in vanilla, salt and pepper to taste and a squeeze of lime juice if you like.
- Serves 6
