Ale Maple Cornbread
maple cornbread with a hit of ale in it to make you come back for more! Ingredients
- 1 cup Traditional Ale beer
- 1 cup coarse ground cornmeal
- 1/4 cup Canadian maple syrup
- 1 cup white flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1tbsp baking powder
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400
- Grease and preheat a 9 X 9 pan.
- Combine cornmeal, beer, and maple syrup in a bowl.
- Stir flour, salt and baking powder into another bowl.
- Add cornmeal mixture, eggs and melted butter.
- Stir until well mixed. Pour batter slowly into preheated pan.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes.
- Cool for 10 minutes.
- You can use Honey Brown lager beer instead too.
