A Sponge Cake From New Zealand
Ingredients
- 3 x Large eggs
- 1 pch Salt
- 1 c. Flour
- 3/4 c. Fine sugar (can use regular)
- 1 tsp Baking pwdr
- 50 gm Butter melted (about 2 ounces)
Directions
- Beat Large eggs and salt. Add in sugar and beat until thick. Sift flour and baking pwdr together. Add in to egg mix. Mix in butter. Pour into greased and lined deep 20 cm (8 inch) round cake tin.
- Bake at 190 C. (375 F.) for 25-30 min or possibly until cake springs back when lighly touched. Leave in tin for 10 min before turning out onto cooling rack.
