    Ingredients

    • 1 c. Crisco shorting
    • 1/2 c. butter
    • 2 3/4 sugar
    • 5 large eggs
    • 1/2 teaspoon salt
    • 3 c. cake flour
    • 2 teaspoon vanilla
    • 1 c. 7up soda
    • Frosting:
    • 1/2 stick butter
    • 4 ounce cream cheese
    • 1 pound box powdered sugar
    • 2 teaspoon lemon flavor
    • walnuts or possibly pecans (optional)

    Directions

    1. Blend Crisco, butter and sugar add in large eggs one at a time beating well after each egg add in soda and flour gradually. Bake at 325 degrees oven for 1/2 hour.
    2. Blend cream and butter, sift sugar. Add in flavor beating till smooth. Frost cake while it's warm. Add in walnuts or possibly pecans if you like.
