57 Sauce
Ingredients
- 1/2 c. Dark raisins
- 1/2 c. Minced dates
- 1/2 c. Vinegar
- 1/2 c. Spaghetti sauce mix
- 1 1/2 tsp Chili pwdr
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 c. Apple juice
- 1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- 1 tsp Garlic salt
- 1 tsp Dry chopped onion
- 1/2 c. Water
Directions
- Combine first 4 ingredients in small saucepan and cover. Simmer for 10 min. Remove and let stand for 30 min. Blend thoroughly and set aside. Bring vinegar to a boil. Remove from heat, stir in spaghetti sauce, mix pwdr till smooth. Add in remaining ingredients and the raisin/date misture. Put through blender again. Measure and add in half as much water. Measure again and add in 1/4 as much in sugar and 1/2 as much in vinegar, adding vinegar a spoonful at a time, tasting till the flavor is suitable.
