White creamy pasta with basil

One of my "golden recipes". Creamy, tasty, just wonderful...Love basil, this is a great way to use it.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. spaguetti or fetuccine.
  • 1/2 cup bechamel sauce.
  • 3 basil leaves.
  • ½ white onion.
  • 1 tbsp. garlic paste.
  • A pinch of black pepper.
  • Salt to taste.

Directions

  1. If you don't know how to make "bechamel" sauce just add 2 tablespoons of flour to 1 cup of whole milk. Stir until disolved and put in in the fire, add 1 teaspoon butter and 1/4 cups of chicken broth. Let it reduce for 10 minutes and voila.
  2. Boil your pasta until "al dente". (It will cook a bit more when mixing) and separate.
  3. Add the bechamel to the pan, then the onion (previously cut very small) and the garlic paste, the salt and pepper. Let it mix for 5 minutes, add the pasta and let it mix for 5 minutes.
  4. Turn the fire off and add the basil. Mix and let it rest for 5 minutes before eating. You can add parmesan cheese on top.
  5. Enjoy!
