Warm Crab Dip

Great Winter Dip when crab is in season and cold nights & entertaining abound.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz softened light cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup reduced fat mayonaise
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 8 oz fresh crab meat, drained
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives
  • 1 baguette warmed & sliced

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 (dip can be made day before however)
  2. In a medium sized bowl, mix together cream cheese, mayonaise, lemon juice, mustard, garlic, crab, parmesan & 1/2 chives
  3. Spoon into dish that can be baked & served in (e.g. ramekin)
  4. Set on oven rack about 6 inches from top
  5. Bake until bubbly and starting to brown on top (about 30 minutes)
  6. Sprinkle remaining chives
  7. Serve with baguette slices
