Pumpkin Bread

This is a wonderful, flavorful smooth pumpkin bread that tastes great and will make your kitchen smell wonderful with all the great spices!

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 7½ ounces pumpkin puree
  • 1½ cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ tablespoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/3 cup water

Directions

  1. Mix sugar and oil in mixer at low speed. Add eggs and pumpkin puree and blend until fully incorporated.
  2. Sift flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder and spices together. Add in three to four stages to pumpkin mixture, being careful not to overmix.
  3. Add water, mixing at low speed.
  4. Place batter in two greased loaf pans and bake at 350 degree for 45 minutes (or convection bake at 330 degrees for 40 minutes.
