Ingredients

  • INGREDIENTS
  • 1) Half a kilo of prawns
  • 2) 1 tb sp of ginger garlic paste
  • 3) 1" stick cinnamon
  • 4) 2 cloves
  • 5) Half to 1 tbs of red chilli powder
  • 6) 2 tsp jeera powder
  • 7) 1 tsp sombhu (aniseed) powder
  • 8) Half tsp tumeric powder
  • 9) 1 tsp jeera powder
  • 10) 1 large onion chopped
  • 11) 2 large tomatoes chopped
  • 12) A few coriander leaves chopped (keep some for garnish)
  • 13) 1/4 cup oil
  • 14) Salt to taste

Directions

  2. Shell the prawns, devein, wash well and drain the water.
  3. Put ingredients nos 2 to 14 in a frying pan (or kadai) and fry for 5 minutes covered. Then open the lid and fry for 5 mins more. Put in the prawns and fry till the water dries up and the oil comes on top. Remove and Serve in a shallow bowl and garnish with mint, coriander leaves and slices of lime.
