Pomegranate Poached Pears & Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 Bosc Pears (peeled)
  • 1-1/4 cups Pure Pomegranate Juice
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1/4 scant teaspoon corn starch
  • I use canned whipped cream or you can make your own using 1/2 cup heavy cream, 2 tablespoons confectioners sugar, one tablespoon, milk using a hand held mixer on high until peaks form, refrigerate until ready to use

Directions

  1. In a deep pot with a lid add pomegranate juice and sugar, corn starch whisk to combine, cook 5 minutes until syrupy add peeled pears, cover and cook 3-4 minutes (you do not want the pears over-cooked)
  2. Carefully remove to a saucer with juice and add cream
  3. Delicious!
