Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 c. onion, minced
  • 2 lbs. hash browns (Ore-Ida hash brown patties)
  • 16 ounce. carton lowfat sour cream
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt
  • Cheese - sufficient to cover top

Directions

  1. Thaw hash brown patties and separate. Saute/fry onions in butter. Mix all ingredients except cheese thoroughly. Place in 9 x 13 inch casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for 45 min. Top with cheese and bake 15 min more.
