Ingredients

  • 2 lrg potatoes sliced
  • 2 med carrots - (to 3) sliced
  • 1 can peas - (#2 size) well liquid removed
  • 3 med onions sliced Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 lb grnd beef browned
  • 2 x celery stalks sliced
  • 1 can tomato soup - (10 ounce)
  • 1 can water - (10 ounce)

Directions

  1. Place layers of the vegetables in the order given in crock pot. Season each layer with salt and pepper. Put the lightly browned grnd beef on top of the celery.
  2. Mix the tomato soup with the water and pour over the layers. Cover and set on LOW for 6 to 8 hrs, stirring occasionally.
  3. This recipe yields 4 to 5 servings.
