Fig Jam with Balsamic Vinegar and Rosemary

Homemade fig jam is simple and totally delicious.

Ingredients

  • 10-12 Fresh Figs
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Zest from 1/2 lemon
  • Juice from 1/2 the lemon
  • 2 Tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
  • Pinch of chopped fresh Rosemary
  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Chop figs into 1 inch pieces
  2. Add all ingredients into deep sauce pan
  3. Let sit for 30 mins. Stir occasionally
  4. After 30 mins and mixer has had a time to liquefy turn on heat and bring to a boil. Stirring frequently
  5. Once boiling, reduce to a simmer for 10-15 mins, stirring occasionally
  6. Remove from heat and let cool.
  7. Mash up a bit more with a fork or wooden spoon
  8. Store in airtight container.
