Ingredients

  • 1 lb Lean grnd beef
  • 3/4 c. Minced onions
  • 1 Tbsp. Chopped fresh ginger
  • 2 tsp Curry pwdr
  • 1 tsp Chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp Chopped jalapeno chili
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Freshly grnd pepper
  • 1/2 c. Chicken broth
  • 3/4 c. Frzn baby peas Cooked rice, optional Prepared chutney, optional Minced peanuts, optional Minced fresh cilantro, optional Plain yogurt, optional

Directions

  1. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add in beef and cook, stirring till browned, about 5 min. Add in onions, ginger, curry, garlic, jalapeno, salt and pepper. Reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring, till onions are softened, 3 min. Add in broth and peas; cook till broth is reduced and peas are warm, 2 min. Serve with rice and condiments: chutney, minced peanuts, minced fresh cilantro and plain yogurt, if you like.
