Cream of Hominy and Bacon Soup

Ingredients

  • One 15.5 once can Hominy (drain)
  • 1-1/4 cup Whole Milk
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch
  • 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
  • dash of nutmeg
  • dash of white pepper
  • 4 slices crispy Bacon (cut into pieces)
  • Garnish with cooked baby carrots, fresh basil chopped

Directions

  1. In a large soup pot (lidded) on medium heat add hominy, milk and cook 3 minutes add corn starch and stir well, add cream nutmeg, white pepper and cover with the lid and cook on medium/low heat (stir during cooking time) for 15 minutes.
  2. Ladle into soup bowl, garnish with bacon pieces, baby carrots, basil
  3. Enjoy!
