Cottage Cheese Dessert Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 1/2 c. cool water
  • 2 c. creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 c. whipping cream
  • 1 T lemon juice
  • Dash of Tabasco
  • 1 T sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • Salad greens
  • Mixed diced fruits and berries

Directions

  1. Sprinkle gelatin on cold water; dissolve over hot water; cool slightly. Put together cottage cheese and mayonnaise. Stir in gelatin. Whip cream; mix in with lemon juice, Tabasco, and sugar. Add in salt to taste. Spoon into 5 cup ring mold; refrigerate till hard. Unmold. Garnish with salad greens. Fill center with fruit. Serve lowfat sour cream dressing separately. Makes 8 servings.
