Cider Pork Chops

The classic combination of pork and apples comes together in this quick, easy and delicious recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. pepper
  • 4 bone-in pork loin chops
  • 1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 cup apple cider or apple juice

Directions

  1. In a large re-sealable plastic bag, combine the flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add pork chops, seal bag, and shake bag to coat chops.
  3. In a large skillet, brown chops in oil over medium heat. Remove from skillet and keep warm.
  4. Using the same skillet, sauté onions, garlic and thyme for 2-3 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  5. Return pork chops to the pan. Add cider and bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 7-8 minutes or until chops are cooked through.
