This is a recipe I got from a friend, Hope you enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless round steak, cut into 1/2 inch cubes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed beef consomme, undiluted
  • 1 to 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 cup uncooked spiral pasta
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 cup minced fresh parsley

Directions

  1. In a large sauce pan, cook round steak, onions, and garlic in oil until the meat is browned and the onions are tender, about 7 minutes.
  2. Stir in water, tomatoes, consomme and seasoning, bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until is tender, about 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Stir in psta and green pepper.
  5. Simmer, uncovered, until pasta is tender, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  6. Add parsley
