Chocolate Fudge Or Fudge Frosting

Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. lowfat milk
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1 pch salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

  1. Bring the first 5 ingredients to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low and boil gently for 3 min, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat, allow frosting mix to cold for 2-3 min, then add in vanilla. Beat with mixer till frosting is just barely thicker than a glaze, and quickly spread over top and sides of cake. Any remaining frosting may be poured onto a buttered plate or possibly small baking dish, where it will quickly thicken to fudge.
