Ingredients

  • 1 box Devils food cake mix
  • 1 (21 ounce) cherry pie filling (can)
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 5 T butter
  • 1/3 c. lowfat milk
  • 6 ounce pkg. chocolate chips

Directions

  1. In small pan mix sugar, butter and lowfat milk. Heat to boiling. Boil 1 minute, stirring. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips till smooth. Pour over slightly warm cake or possibly bars.Cake: Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan (for bars) or possibly a 9 x 13 inch pan (for cake). In large bowl put together all ingredients and blend well with a spoon. Pour into pan and bake 15 x 10 inch pan for 20-30 min. 9 x 13 inch pan for 25-30 min or possibly till a toothpick comes out clean.
