Browned Butter

The Amish use browned butter on their vegetable and over mashed potatoes. You can make it and keep in the refridgerator til ready to use.
It has a light spicy taste

Ingredients

  • 1 stick of butter

Directions

  1. Melt butter in 1 qt saucepan over med heat. After its melted, stir constantly until butter begins to turn a nutty golden brown, about 4mins.
  2. Remove from heat right away, do not let it burn.
  3. Cover and refridgerate, dark particle will settle on the bottom, when spooning it out get some of the brown bits from the botom.
