Browned Butter
The Amish use browned butter on their vegetable and over mashed potatoes. You can make it and keep in the refridgerator til ready to use. It has a light spicy taste Ingredients
- 1 stick of butter
Directions
- Melt butter in 1 qt saucepan over med heat. After its melted, stir constantly until butter begins to turn a nutty golden brown, about 4mins.
- Remove from heat right away, do not let it burn.
- Cover and refridgerate, dark particle will settle on the bottom, when spooning it out get some of the brown bits from the botom.
