Beef Macaroni and Cheese

Macaroni and cheese with tomatoes and beef.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp Basil
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Oregano
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper
  • 3 cups Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbs Vegetable Oil
  • 1 lb Pasta Shells
  • 2-1/2 cups Cheddar Cheese, grated

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cook the pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.
  3. While pasta is cooking...Heat the oil in a skillet; add the onion and garlic, and saute until soft.
  4. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
  5. Add the tomatoes, salt, pepper basil, cumin and oregano.
  6. In a large bowl, combine the pasta and the beef mixture.
  7. Pour mixture into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  8. Top with cheese and bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, or until the cheese is lightly browned.
