Ingredients

  • 1 pound Navy beans
  • 1 to 2 lbs. ham & bone
  • 1 tbsp. celery seed
  • 1 c. onion, diced
  • 4 quarts. water

Directions

  1. Soak beans overnight. Bring water to a boil. Add in all ingredients and cook over low flame for 1 to 2 hrs. Remove ham bone and dice up any meat remaining on the bone; return meat to soup.
