Basic Ham & Bean Soup
Ingredients
- 1 pound Navy beans
- 1 to 2 lbs. ham & bone
- 1 tbsp. celery seed
- 1 c. onion, diced
- 4 quarts. water
Directions
- Soak beans overnight. Bring water to a boil. Add in all ingredients and cook over low flame for 1 to 2 hrs. Remove ham bone and dice up any meat remaining on the bone; return meat to soup.
