Ingredients

  • 1 med Head cabbage
  • 1/2 c. Boiling, salted water
  • 3 Tbsp. Butter
  • 3 Tbsp. Flour
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 c. Lowfat milk
  • 1/4 c. Bread crumbs

Directions

  1. Shred cabbage and cook 9 min in boiling, salted water. Remove cabbage, drain well, and place in buttered 1-1/2 qt casserole. Heat butter in pan, stir in flour and salt; cook till smooth. Add in lowfat milk gradually.
  2. Continue stirring till thick. Pour sauce over cabbage and sprinkle bread crumbs over top. Bake at 325 for 15 min or possibly till crumbs are brown.
