Asparagus With Nutmeg Browned Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 lb Fresh asparagus spears or possibly
  • 2 pkt (10-ounce) frzn asparagus spears Boiling, salted water Salt
  • 6 Tbsp. Butter
  • 1/4 tsp Grated or possibly grnd nutmeg

Directions

  1. Wash and trim fresh asparagus spears. Cook fresh or possibly frzn spears in a small amount of boiling, salted water till just tender. Drain thoroughly.
  2. Season lightly with salt; turn into serving dish. ln a small pan, heat butter till it bubbles and browns slightly; stir in nutmeg. Pour butter mix over asparagus. Serve immediately.
  3. Makes six (6) servings.
