Almond Mini Chip Shortbread

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, no substitutes, softened
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 cup mini chips semi-sweet chocolate

Directions

  1. Heat the oven to 350 F
  2. Grease a 13 x 9 inch baking pan
  3. Beat the butter and sugar in a large bowl until fluffy
  4. Add the flour and the almond extract
  5. Blend well
  6. Stir in the small chocolate chips
  7. Pat into the prepared pan
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown
  9. Cool for 10 minutes
  10. Cut into bars or triangles
  11. Cool completely in the pan on a wire racks
