Dominican Doughnuts!

Hi!
I had not shared a recipe in some time, so today I bring you, as usual, a sweet traditional Dominican recipe!
I’ll share the more elaborate, which you might call “American” version later. These are the ones commonly found in Dominican “colmados” or “pulperias” (grocery stores)

Directions
Mix the flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon. Separately mix egg, milk, sugar, butter and then pour on the dry ingredients. Knead and extend with a rolling pin. Cut in circles and cut a smaller circle in the middle.
Fry in abundant hot oil. When they cool down, sprinkle sugar and cinnamon. You may also use honey, syrup, power sugar, icing, etc.
I hope you liked my comeback!
Regards,
The “Sous Chef”
