Okay, so they're not really famous. They are, however, absolutely perfect. Try them for your next family dinner! Freeze any leftovers for an easy weeknight meal!

    Ingredients

    • 1 pound lean ground beef (90/10)
    • 1 pound lean ground pork (90/10)
    • 1 small onion, chopped
    • 1/3 cup parsley, chopped
    • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
    • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
    • 1 1/4 cups panko bread crumbs
    • 1/2 package Good Seasons' Italian dressing mix
    • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
    • 1 egg, beaten
    • 2 tsp salt
    • 1/2 tsp pepper
    • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
    • 2 jars of your favorite marinara sauce
    • 1 pound cooked spaghetti, for serving

    Directions

    1. In a small bowl, mix breadcrumbs with dressing mix.
    2. Crumble beef and pork into very large bowl (you want room to work here).
    3. Add seasoned breadcrumbs, beaten egg, cheese, parsley, onion, nutmeg, Italian seasoning, garlic, salt and pepper together with your hands until well incorporated. Form into twenty meatballs and place in slow cooker.
    4. Cover completely with sauce and cook on LOW for 6 – 8 hours (I cook mine 8. This will produce fall-apart-at-the-touch meatballs, so be careful you don’t create a Bolognese sauce by mistake!).

Well these sure have some great ingredients in them! I will omit the onions with my allergy but sounds like a winner!
