• In steel casting process, the casting parts is mainly solidification and formed from liquid metal, therefore, in the casting process, if factory couldn't control the technically, the casting parts would appear problems, which influence the mechanical properties and the working life. After many years experience, we think the most two factors influence is dimensional accuracy and solidification time.
• 1, solidification time
• The structure, grain size, direction, form of liquid metal all matters about solidification structure, which will influence physical properties and mechanical properties. The purpose of casting parts is to maintain required structure, the methods to control structure is metamorphism, contain, sequence solidification, fast-speed solidification etc.
• 2, control dimensional accuracy
• It's hard to control dimension and surface finish. In side of structure, casting part cavity and shape formed in one time, then get the final products through machining process. The dimension and surface quality is close to final requirements, few machining allowance or no machining allowance. In side of surface finish, the raw casting surface is good to anti-corrosion and increase working life.
• In the production of big steel casting parts, about 2 ways can help to control casting part shape and dimensional accuracy, to reduce cost to a certain degree.
