  • Turkey Sausages with Cannelini Beans

    Delicious and healthy meal! Even better the next day , reheated!

    Ingredients

    • 1 lb. turkey sausage
    • 1 large onion, diced
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 3 cans cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
    • 2 chicken bouillon cubes + 1 1/2 cups water
    • OR
    • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
    • 1 large can diced tomatoes or 1 container cherry tomatoes, halved
    • 1 cup dry white wine
    • 2 bay leaves
    • 1/2 tsp dried sage
    • Dried red pepper flakes
    • Salt and pepper to taste

    Directions

    1. In large pot brown the sausages. Add the diced onions and garlic and cook till translucent. Add chicken broth (or reconstituted bouillon), wine, tomatoes, beans, and seasonings. Bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer for 1 hour.

        That would be even better than canned beans, for sure! I just love the convenience of canned beans so I use them often.
