Turkey Sausages with Cannelini Beans
Delicious and healthy meal! Even better the next day , reheated! Ingredients
- 1 lb. turkey sausage
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cans cannellini beans, rinsed and drained
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes + 1 1/2 cups water
- OR
- 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 1 large can diced tomatoes or 1 container cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/2 tsp dried sage
- Dried red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- In large pot brown the sausages. Add the diced onions and garlic and cook till translucent. Add chicken broth (or reconstituted bouillon), wine, tomatoes, beans, and seasonings. Bring to a boil then lower heat and simmer for 1 hour.
