Turkey rolls with spinach and cheese

Rolled turkey steaks stuffed with spinach and cheese are perfect for a quick family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 200 g fresh spinach, washed and cleaned
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • Salt and pepper
  • 400-500 g turkey steaks
  • 50 g Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 1/4 cup corn flour
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbs butter
  • 1 tbs olive oil
  • 1/4 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. Sauté spinach with garlic in hot oil briefly, just until it wilts a little. Season with salt and pepper, set aside to cool slightly.
  2. Lightly beat the turkey steaks.
  3. Put some spinach on each steak, top with slice of cheese.
  4. Roll the steak and fasten with a wooden or metal toothpick.
  5. Combine corn flour, cinnamon, cumin and salt.
  6. Cover turkey rolls with flour mixture.
  7. Fry the rolls in a mixture of butter and oil, about 7 minutes or until they are cooked evenly on all sides.
  8. Add wine and water, reduce heat and simmer, covered, 10 minutes.
